From 1 million to 1 billion
I've spent 17 years building and scaling commercial engines across enterprise software, SaaS, cybersecurity, and B2B services — in over 40 countries, across Europe, the US, and Asia.
The longest chapter was at UiPath, where I joined early and helped build one of the fastest-growing revenue engines in the history of enterprise software. I opened new markets, built and led cross-functional sales organizations, and personally closed contracts with NASA, ExxonMobil, Chevron, BP America, Walmart, Verizon, Wells Fargo, PepsiCo, Toyota, Ford, General Electric, Airbus, and Berkshire Hathaway, among others.
Daniel Dines, UiPath's founder and CEO, put it this way: "At the first UiPath conference in 2017, two or three clients congratulated me on our work. They told me they chose to work with UiPath not just because of the technology or the company, but because of Gabriel." I won the President's Club four consecutive years and left in 2022 as Senior Vice President of Key Accounts, after UiPath's IPO on the NYSE.
After UiPath, I founded Traction Keys — my advisory, investment, and company-building platform — and continued working with founders and leadership teams across CEE, EMEA, and the US.
Most recently, as SVP GTM at Pentest-Tools.com, a global cybersecurity SaaS company, I built their first structured commercial engine from the ground up — spanning sales, customer success, support, and partnerships. Within 18 months, the new GTM motion accounted for over 50% of net new revenue and close to 30% of total company ARR, while accelerating growth from ~12% historical CAGR to 35-40%+.
I work with a small number of companies at a time. Not because I can't do more — but because I won't do it well otherwise. If we work together, you get direct access to me, not a framework delivered by someone junior. I am a board member at TechAngels Romania, one of the most active angel networks in Central and Eastern Europe, and an alumnus of the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford GSB.
I'm Romanian. I lived and worked in London, New York, Houston, and Amsterdam. I came back because I believe Eastern Europe has extraordinary talent and ideas that deserve global markets. That belief shapes everything I do.
Beyond GTM
Real estate
Through Pretto Estates, our family real estate investment and development platform, I have built a portfolio spanning residential, commercial, industrial, and hospitality assets across Romania and the United States, totaling over one million square feet under management. What began as co-investments alongside experienced developers has evolved into leading our own developments under the Pretto Estates brand. We have completed multiple exits across asset classes, including luxury residential developments, a mountain hotel in the Brasov area, and industrial projects in Texas and Florida.
Exits & ventures
Beyond real estate, I have founded, built, and exited businesses across multiple sectors. In hospitality, I built a restaurant in central Bucharest that became one of the city's best-rated before exiting in 2021. In consulting, I co-founded a European sales training and advisory business with offices in the UK, the Netherlands, and Romania — which I exited to a global Big 4 firm in 2021. Earlier, I co-founded and exited a real estate appraisal and sales business that generated over €25M in transactions over three years.
Angel investing
I invest selectively in early-stage technology companies across CEE and EMEA, with a focus on B2B SaaS, AI, and automation.
